Students enrolled in a course that requires the North Carolina End-of-Course (EOC) assessment—Biology, English II, NC Math 1, or NC Math 3—must take the assessment as the final exam. Spring semester EOC assessments will be administered May 18-22, 2026. The EOC exam score will be calculated as 20% of the student’s final course grade. Students who do not take the EOC assessment will receive an exam score of zero (0).
Beginning with the 2025–26 school year, students who score Not Proficient on their EOC assessment may participate in a second test administration. Retesting for Biology, NC Math 1, and NC Math 3 will occur during the spring exam week. Retesting for English II will occur in late May and/or early June when scores are returned.
This retest provides another opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning. Participation in the retest is optional and has no negative consequences for those who choose not to participate. If the retest score is higher than the initial test score, the higher score will be used as 20% of the student’s final course grade.
Parental/legal guardian permission is required for a student to participate in a retest. If you would like your student to have the opportunity to retest, please complete the form below by May 4, 2026. If you have questions or concerns about retesting opportunities, please contact Mrs. Rhonda Moran at 336-551-1150.
