Below are some counseling websites that address many issues facing teens today. Your school counselor is available to help you in any way they can. You should talk with your parent or a professional if you are in danger or if you know of someone who is.

  • Crossroads Behavioral Healthcare
    Call 1-800-235-4673 toll free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for help with mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse services.
  • Alanon/Alateen
    This site contains basic information about this organization which assists adults and teens with alcohol related concerns.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous
    This link is to the teen section of the well known twelve step program for treatment of alcoholism.
  • Anxiety Disorders
    The National Institute of Mental Health gives a sketch of each known anxiety disorder and has a keyword search to help identify symptoms.
  • Change Your Mind
    Site sponsored by the American Psychological Association approaches mental health concerns from the young adult's point of view.
  • Eating Disorders
    On the KidSource website. This is research conducted and supported by the National Institute of Mental Health on causes and treatment of a variety of eating disorders.
  • Gambling Issues
    This is a link to North Carolina's website to get help to those who have an issue with problem gambling.
  • Mental Health Resources
    This site provides contacts for services, treatment and programs in mental health care in North Carolina.
  • National Eating Disorders Association
    The web site is devoted to the awareness and prevention of eating disorders.
  • Pediatric Bipolar Disorder
